The Americans for Prosperity Foundation’s “Defending the American Dream Summit” was held in Washington DC this past weekend.  If you haven’t read the post I published about my first day covering this, you can read it by clicking here.  As I said in my first post, I was very impressed by this event and the educational value it presents to its’ participants.  I didn’t have many expectations going into this event. I just planned on reporting back whatever I saw to you(folks who read JTHmishmash).  Looking back on the event, AFPF sure did put on a great program that educated, entertained, and inspired the attendees.  I felt the energy and passion of the participants wherever I went.  Here’s my report from the second day:

On my second day of covering this event I experienced a lot! The day began with a morning general session with highlight speakers like FL Attorney General Pam Bondi and talk show host Laura Ingraham.  Participants then went on to participate in book signings, meet and greets, and breakout sessions, while I uploaded/edited video and tweeted to my followers!  I also attended a breakout session, “Lessons from Andrew Breitbart: Easy Steps to Becoming a Foot Soldier”, to get video coverage for YOU!  The panel in that session consisted of, Jim Hoft(Founder, Gateway Pundit), Tony Katz(Talk Show Host), Andrew Marcus(Director, Hating Breitbart), and Scott Hagerstrom(State Director, AFP). I will be putting footage from that session up in the next day or two.  After that session I proceeded to the closing general session with highlight speaker of the event, Mark Levin.  I have never felt so much energy in one room!  Mark Levin definitely topped off the event with a fantastic speech.  I must mention how impressed I was with Mark Levin’s personality!  At the end of the speech, tons of attendees unexpectedly ran up to the front to shake his hand or get something signed, Levin would have stayed there ALL DAY to shake every single hand and talk to every single person.  He was shaking every hand until finally the event staff had to make him leave the stage so the program could stay somewhat on the schedule.  The whole summit ended with a very informative twitter economic freedom townhall Q&A.  I can not say enough kind words about this event, if you’re available next year…come to DC and participate in the action!  You can view this years event page by clicking here.

OK, OK, enough of the chit-chat, time for some video footage!  In this post I have the opening session highlights from Saturday and Mark Levin’s FULL speech from the closing session!

Saturday’s Opening Session Highlights:

Mark Levin’s Speech, Closing Session:
